Gulag Gang

Gulag Gang, also known by the playerbase as Gulag was the first lasting major clan established on TVE, as well as the longest-lasting and generally considered most important in the server's history. Joining back in early April 2020, the OG group was originally comprised of 12 IRL friends and acquintances from France that decided to join the server together, and did not open its doors to any non-IRL members until their return in April 2021.

Led by GlinglinMerguez, the group is responsible for many defining projects that shaped the spawn region in both their first (April 2020 - June 2020) and second (April 2021 - July 2021) periods of activity on the server, being responsible for massive projects such as the Spawn Decimation, the Pubes or the drainage of the Second Massive Spawn Ocean.

Gulag is also mostly known for its complicated history with other clans on the server, being notorious for betraying most if not all of their allies, such as major clans like Dauntless or F Clan by raiding their bases multiple times. They were also known in the OG days of the server for their End Portal War against Lidee, a hard-fought but futile attempt at protecting the End Portals of the server from Lidee's griefs.

Despite Gulag Gang's lack of confidence in other anarchy players and their untrustworthy nature, they were also known for their various alliances, such as the record-breaking Gulag Guardians, counting 28 players at its peak representing various clans from all over the server like Lunaria, F Clan or Dauntless, which was a larger group comprised of players "less trusted" by the OG Gulag members that wanted to help with Gulag errands.

A similar group would be birthed as a successor of Gulag Guardians in the form of The Coalition, an official merge between Dauntless and Gulag in order to try and revive the "golden age of TVE" and the server as a whole by causing as much chaos as possible after the first major leaving - though the group amassed 25 players at its peak, their hope of a big TVE revival faded away and both Gulag and The Coalition disbanded during the second major leaving, leaving all of their resources to the remaining OG players who would eventually found Wrath in July of 2020.

After penguin4215 transferred ownership of the server to sleepylessons, the group gradually began to come back until they made their big return in April of 2021, merging with Lunaria and including their leader Ecchou as one of the most important members of the group. This comeback was largely centered around the Spawn Ocean War, a conflict focused on draining the Second Massive Spawn Ocean located at spawn that opposed Gulag to the Ocean Makers. The conflict helped with their goal of reviving the playerbase considerably after the transfer by using war as a purpose ; it is also during that time that they founded N*ggang, the successor to Gulag Guardians which ammassed 11 additional players that sided and wanted to help with Gulag during the war.

On April 25th, 2021, the Second Massive Spawn Ocean was drained and the war was won, making most Gulag and N*ggang members stop playing and causing the beginning of the Era of Silence, with members only sporadically coming in to finish building the pubes or raiding a few bases here and there. In September 2021, GlinglinMerguez expressed doubt on the group ever coming back in any real capacity because of studies and IRL errands, and in December of 2021, after helping remaining allies and former N*ggang members expanding the Pubes to the new 1.18 height limit, Gulag left the server one last time and never came back on until the end of the server.

Despite its long activity on TVE, the group was never raided by any external members, and cumulated thousands of kills due to its members being active PvPers and spawnkillers in the OG days of the server, without using any bedtrap techniques and cumulating very few deaths between all of them.

2020

• April 5th, 2020: Gulag Gang joins TVE.
• April 7th, 2020: The spawn decimation happens.
• April ~20th, 2020: Alliance with Dauntless.
• April 27th, 2020: Creation of the spawn roof.
• April 29th, 2020: Gulag Gang raids dabiduwu's Jesus.
• April 30th, 2020: With the help of Dauntless, they start a witch-hunt for Lidee, who was destroying end portals. (which consisted of checking all portals and making a list, building protections arround portals, staying at spawn to catch Lidee and trying to get to his base).
• May 5th, 2020 : Alliance with Lunaria, F Clan and creation of Gulag Guardians.
• May 14th, 2020: Gulag Gang griefs BerkTR, Zippier, Dauntless, F Clan, Lunaria, and Gulag Guardians (despite Gulag Gang leading Guardians) and creates rumors not to be suspected (Verias, the owner of the timeline at the time is presumed guilty, leaves TVE and gives the timeline to exxxx, who later gives it to Gulag Gang).
• May 24th, 2020: Last protected portal is destroyed, Lidee claims none are left.
• May 28th, 2020: Lidee's base is found and griefed by Gulag Gang.
• June 3rd, 2020: F Clan and Lunaria Leave Gulag Guardians.
• June 4th, 2020: Gulag Gang griefs F Clan (again) and Veradicans, while them and Wrath are fighting each other.
• June 5th, 2020: Guardians dissolved, creation of The Coalition with Dauntless, penguin4215 reopens 5 portals, portal list updated.
• June 29th, 2020: The Coalition is dissolved.
• July 3rd, 2020: Gulag Gang leaves TVE.
• July 17th, 2020: Gulag Gang gives everything to Wrath (coords, truth on raids, etc ...).
• July 18th, 2020: The Gulag Gang Grand Reserve is raided.

2021

• Feb. 6th, 2021: Attempt to get back on TVE, GlinglinMerguez logs in, dupe kits are gathered, Gulag discord server is recreated.
• Feb. 13th, 2021: TVE is shut down, Gulag chooses not to get back as they lack time.
• Feb. 17th, 2021: The group discovers that 2 portals were left by Lidee and update the portal list.
• April 5th, 2021: The group is officialy back on TVE.
• April 12th, 2021: N*ggang is created.
• April 15th, 2021: The spawn ocean war begins
• April 24th, 2021: The second major spawn ocean is drained
• April 25th, 2021: War is over, Gulag wins. Gulag Gang leaves TVE, starting the era of silence.
• November 5th, 2021: Gulag starts bedrock excavation at spawn
• November 6th, 2021: GlinglinMerguez and Azoth grief a stash from Zippier and Grimone both also part of Gulag Gang
